DC and Warner Bros. upcoming Flash solo film starring Ezra Miller has lost its director, Rick Famuyiwa. He is the second filmmaker to speedily depart the project following Seth Grahame-Smith earlier this year.
Famuyiwa, known for his critically acclaimed independent film Dope had previously overseen the casting of key roles in the film such as Kiersey Clemons as Iris West and Watchmen’s Billy Crudup as Henry Allen, the Flash’s father but has now left the film due to rumored ‘creative differences.’
“When I was approached by Warner Bros and DC about the possibility of directing The Flash, I was excited about the opportunity to enter this amazing world of characters that I loved growing up, and still do to this day. I was also excited to work with Ezra Miller, who is a phenomenal young actor,” Famuyiwa said in a statement.
